FAQS

These are just a few of my FAQs. If you have a specific question, please email me and I will respond within 48 hours.

Do you take insurance?

Sanamora is no longer accepting insurance. However, upon request, we can provide a superbill. Clients can use this superbill to submit claims for reimbursement if they have out-of-network provider benefits with their insurance.

What is our self pay rate?

Senior Therapist rates are $200 per hour and $300 per hour for 90 min sessions.
Associate Therapist rates start at 150 per hour and 225 for 90 min sessions.

Do you offer virtual sessions?

Absolutely, I can be flexible to your needs and provide virtual sessions if you prefer.

Do you see couples?

Yes, we work with couples on any issues they may be facing in their relationship.

Before committing we think it is important for you to understand what we believe about relationships and marriage. First of all, we do not have preconceived notions about whether you should stay together or part ways. We believe it is important to explore such questions openly, honestly, and thoroughly during our sessions and on your own. Once we explore your goals, We will work diligently to support you in achieving them, whatever they may be. Secondly, you are entrusting me to use our professional judgment as it relates to individual confidence. By becoming our clients, you are acknowledging that anything you communicate to us individually by phone, email or any other means may be important to bring up and work on in a couple therapy session, and we reserve the right (but not the obligation) to do so.

Disclaimer- Not a Good Fit for High-Conflict Couples
While we specialize in relationship and couples therapy, our services are not appropriate for couples who are experiencing high levels of conflict, intense emotional reactivity, or are considering separation or divorce due to frequent, unresolved disputes. For high-conflict couples, we recommend seeking therapists who are trained in specialized conflict resolution or mediation services that address ongoing, escalated issues. Our goal is to provide support for couples who are ready to work on communication, connection, and intimacy in a collaborative environment.

Will my sessions be confidential?

We work with the utmost respect for confidentiality and discretion, both in line with our own values and the HIPAA laws. These are a set of federal regulatory standards that outline the lawful use and disclosure of protected health information in the United States. They are fully regulated and provide protection for the privacy, security, and integrity of protected health information

What is your covid 19 policy?

We am respectful of individuals health needs and preferences. We can perform your sessions in person or virtually, whichever you would prefer. Please note: Depending on the current COVID trends, I reserve the right to go fully virtual for sessions.

Where are you located?

We are located at the corner of 71st and Yale in Tulsa, OK.  Housed within Our Place Tulsa’s Inclusive Wellness Collective.

What are intensives?

Couples Therapy Intensives - For couples seeking deeper and faster results, we also offer relationship therapy intensives. These extended therapy sessions, often scheduled over several hours or consecutive days, allow you to dive deep into the core issues of your relationship without the interruptions of weekly therapy. Intensives can help couples achieve significant breakthroughs in a condensed period of time, making them ideal for those looking to accelerate their progress.

Postpartum Planning Intensives - Help new parents navigate challenges quickly, offering tools and strategies for immediate relief. Creating a long-term postpartum plan during these intensives is crucial for sustaining emotional well-being, fostering greater insight, and ensuring ongoing support. A well-prepared plan helps parents anticipate and manage the evolving emotional and mental health needs that arise in the postpartum period, setting the foundation for a healthier, more balanced journey.

Services

Women Issues

I love working with women! Being a woman in a modern world, and the implications of conditioning that has been placed upon us can be overwhelming. The expectations of others and the unrealistic expectations we have of ourselves. Let's explore where those expectations came from.

Perinatal Mental Health

I have a passion for navigating the waters of motherhood with women – from infertility, conception, and pregnancy through the unexpected challenges of new motherhood, very real postpartum depression, and the grief of loss when things don’t go as planned.

Trauma Focused

Whether you are dealing with big T-Trauma, or little T-trauma it is still trauma. Trauma affects your life, and can significantly impact your mental health. I have spent my career working with victims of all types of trauma both physical and emotional, and am equipped to help identify trauma triggers and how to manage them. My work is about understanding the root of trauma, and helping my clients find a way to build their lives around it. I believe that pain and suffering are a part of the human experience, because it is through pain that we learn survival skills, and our experiences imprint not only on our minds and emotions, but also in our physical bodies. Holding trauma is physical, and learning to manage the weight of it in your life will allow you to thrive.

EMDR

I am currently completing my Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) certification.  A proven method to help recover from trauma and other distressing life experiences, including; PTSD, anxiety, depression, and panic disorders.

LGBTQ

Marginalized populations need to be seen, heard, and valued. When I say you are the expert in your life I mean it. Tell me who you are and I will accept it and meet you where you are. I see you, I hear you and I value you.

Ready To Change Your Life?

The journey through pain and discomfort is hard, the reward is beautiful to watch. We will stand with you, hold space for you, and celebrate your wins.
